The Calgary Retina Consultants Research Department has been involved in several multicenter studies sponsored by industry over the past 22 years. As we grow, we continue to focus on clinical trials, student teaching and of course our patients.
The mandate of the Calgary Retina Consultants Research department is to bring clinical, basic and industry sponsored retina research to Calgary. This enables our Research Department to provide leading edge technology and treatments for our patients.
Mission Statement for the Calgary Retina Research Department
To be instrumental in participating in retina related research which will allow leading edge technology and treatment for the Southern Alberta population. To educate and mentor medical students, residents and fellows in the research process.
Per NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules, institutions must make IBC meeting minutes publicly available for meetings on or after June 1, 2025. Calgary Retina Consultants operates under Advarra IBC oversight. Currently, there are no approved minutes requiring posting. Updates will be added as available.
