Dr. Lisa Lagrou

Dr. Lisa Lagrou has comprehensive training and experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, both in adults and children.

In addition to comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology, Dr. Lagrou has a special interest in pediatric anterior segment conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts and uveitis.

She has previously completed a bachelor of biomedical science degree at the University of Waterloo, followed by a masters of science degree at McMaster University in Neuroscience. She then completed her medical school at the University of Ottawa and her ophthalmology residency at The University of Calgary. Following this, she completed a pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at The University of Michigan. She has returned to Calgary to provide excellent patient care to children and adults with eye diseases. She is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Lagrou is accepting new patient referrals for all pediatric ophthalmic conditions, as well as all adult eye conditions, including cataract, strabismus, glaucoma, and diabetic screenings. Surgically, Dr. Lagrou performs a wide range procedures including pediatric and adult cataract surgery, pediatric and adult strabismus surgery and pediatric tear duct probings/irrigation.
